SADLY, I think your editorial calling for the dusting off and teaching of the classics comes a little too late (“Restoring classic literature”, 5/11). For a start, there would be few teachers these days who are trained in such areas. And if there are, they will be swimming against the tide in the classroom. Huckleberry Finn and Black Beauty are not “cool” enough for today’s youngsters and their teachers have probably not read them, either.
